Obesity is a condition in which excessive fat accumulated in adipose tissue impairs health. Being Obese, weight-history period was taken prior to baseline (start of the 12-year follow-up), which was considered an adequate period of time to obtain minimally biased estimates of BMI. Scientifically, According to the world health organization WHO (2006), a person is said to be normal weight if he or she has a Body mass index between 18.50 and 24.99. A person with a Body mass index of 25 or more is considered overweight while anyone with BMI of 30 or more is considered obese. Obesity leads to major health issues and reasons to death worldwide.
